Demand Studios Sucks Also Sucks, Darth_Brooks Jumps In

DAMN, this thread is epic! The book's kinda long-winded though, I hope they resolve that when they make the movie.[/quote]

It would've lasted longer if the Demand Studios Sucks Forum administrators, part of the opposition, didn't ban me.

In fact, allowing me to debate on that thread indefinitely would've benefited the forums in the long run. Forcing the bullies into a protracted defense, then forcing them away from the thread, tends to "humble" them toward other posters.

They'd have no other choice. The rest of the community would've seen not only their vulnerabilities, but the fact that they're little people ganging up on others just so that they could feel "big."

It would've also forced a change in attitude towards any new person posting on that message board.

People would've gotten mentally exhausted from being rude, disrespectful, and hateful. Many would've pulled back, allowing others to freely discuss different topics and issues.

If Demand Studios Sucks is to have any longevity, they're going to need to shift their focus. Hating and resenting Demand Media Studios is only a short term strategy. What happens when Demand Studios is no longer an issue? If Demand Media takes the exit ramp to nothing, Demand Studios Sucks will follow them.

Unless...

Demand Studios Sucks changes its focus and orientation.

I would've attempted to help that change. They need to switch from hatred toward Demand Studios, to helping each other move foreword. They could do more than answer each other's questions on DSS.

There are enough posters on those forums to form writing circles. They could subject their writing to group critiques before submitting it to their clients. They could form project teams. The opportunities for them are endless if they're willing to move foreword.

Unfortunately, Demand Studios Sucks is hell bent on criticizing Demand Media Studios. They're not looking and planning for a time when Demand Studios is not a factor.

That thread would be longwinded only to those who don't have the patience to read every post.
